I was born and raised in a small town in Northern Ireland, lucky enough to be be given an education in one of the best countries in the world. My passions were words and painting and my aim was to carve out a career in one of these disciplines.
My life went in a different direction, however, and I married young and raised a family instead. I gained my first degree in the Humanities when I was forty and went on to enjoy a long career in the printing industry.
Upon retirement, I went back to university and studied for my second degree in Photography, which is one of the great passions in my life. My photographs have been exhibited worldwide and I have lots of ‘shineys’ to my name.
Now, in my 77th year, I have returned full circle to my love of words and am currently writing my first novel, Circles of Confusion, which is the first in a trilogy set in the East Midlands of the UK, where I made my home when I left my beloved Ireland.
